I used to teach people exactly what worked for me and how I was earning through AdSense. However, one incident changed that. Despite my clear ethical advice to avoid “idea cloning” and my encouragement to be creative, someone I taught went ahead and built a website that became a direct competitor to mine.
I had communicated my disapproval and urged them to explore their unique ideas, but they chose to replicate my approach instead. The competition became too close, and I ultimately decided to abandon the project, sell the AdSense account, and step away from the program for a while.
Though I still use AdSense today, I’ve made a decision: I will no longer share anything about it on Facebook. Additionally, most of my AdSense-enabled websites are untraceable to me, ensuring that my strategies and efforts remain private.
This experience taught me the importance of setting boundaries when sharing knowledge. Not everyone will respect your guidance or intentions.
