With the advent of AI, companies are no longer impressed by manual work. The expectation has shifted significantly.
Organizations now expect you to achieve more in less time and with less effort by effectively leveraging AI tools. This shift is all about ensuring what I call “throughput” remains high throughout your entire contract or period of work.
By my own definition, throughput simply means efficiency. It’s the ability to accomplish a lot of tasks and still make it look like it’s nothing. It’s about working smarter, not harder. If you can tap into the power of AI and streamline your processes, you can achieve results faster, and more accurately, without burning out.
For example, a few years ago, crafting or polishing a website content that connects to its target audience used to involve insane amounts of work until the advent of GPT AI agents like ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity.
Without AI, One of my Design-as-a-Service startups, Sameday, wouldn’t have stood the test of time. Sameday let’s you submit a brief and get it done on the same day. Isn’t that crazy!
I’ve co-anchored at least 10 competency-based interviews this year, and let me tell you—if you aren’t abreast with the latest AI developments, you wouldn’t even be considered for a position in tech. It’s a hard truth, but it’s an increasingly prevalent reality. Companies are now prioritizing those who can demonstrate adaptability and technical competency.
While it’s unfortunate for those still relying on outdated and manual methods, mastering the command of AI tools is the new standard in the workplace.
Embrace AI, or risk being left behind.
